THE LEAGUE OF NATIONS 1920-1946
The League of Nations was the final step in the Peace Process of World War I. Established on June 28, 1920, the League was the result of the Paris Peace Conference. The conference was responsible for ending World War I. The League was intended to help resolve international disputes peacefully. Its head quarters was in Geneva, Switzerland, which was a neutral state during the First World War.
United States President Woodrow Wilson first proposed the idea of the League in his Fourteen Points. Woodrow was especially disturbed by the deaths. Members of the League of Nations
You'll notice The United States was never a member of the League of Nations. Although President Woodrow was a strong influence and advocate of the creation of the League, the isolationists of the US refused to support the league and thus did not become affiliated with it.
