Redrawn Borders 1914
With the restoration of peace in Europe came the reconstruction of many of the borders affected by World War I. Empires were dismantled to accommodate equality, smaller states were granted independence to control power, and new borders were erected to promote peace throughout Europe.
These graphs depict the financial position of European countries as a result of World War I and the reconstruction of European borders.

Borders at the end of World War I.
Due to the sizable decrease in German territories, many found themselves unemployed.
The war nearly destroyed the Russian Empire, causing a halt in the expansion of their territories.
France suffered destruction to a majority of their cities and working class, causing some economic turmoil.
While virtually unaffected by the reconstruction of European borders, Britain suffered from the destruction of its cities.
The alliances that had originally formed in the First World War were purposefully separated in hopes of abolishing any further revolts.
